Carrier Ethernet

Carrier Ethernet is a ubiquitous standardized, carrier-class system used to provide high seamless connectivity between speed Ethernet over LANs, Metro Ethernet and wide area networks. Rigorous industry efforts have resulted in defining the main attributes of Carrier Ethernet and set industry-wide standards for end-to-end Quality of Service to enable Service Level Agreements. These parameters include:

• Standardized Services

• Scalability

• Reliability § Quality of Service (QoS)

• Service Management

RAD’s Carrier Ethernet access equipment comply with the standards set by the industry organizations such as the IETF, ITV, MEF, and the MFA Forum. RAD’s Carrier Ethernet devices range from intelligent Ethernet demarcation devices and network termination units for the fiber local loop to channelized Ethernet gateways, high performance Ethernet to TDM converters, Ethernet over DSL integrated access devices, Ethernet and ATM concentrators and TDM to Ethernet and ATM to Ethernet pseudowire products.
