Increase Broadband Service Coverage to Rural Areas

RAD’s EtherAccess® network demarcation and aggregation solutions allow service providers to expand their out-of-region WiMAX and DSL service coverage using PDH/SDH/SONET backhaul. By connecting to remote DSLAMs or WiMAX base stations from one end, and to the Egate Ethernet over TDM aggregation gateways from the other, the RICi network termination units enable cost-effective delivery of new Ethernet services by backhauling them over radio links, as well as over fractional E1/T1, bonded n x E1/T1 circuits, E3/T3 channels and SDH/SONET backbones.

• Allow carrier-class Ethernet service delivery to sites where native Ethernet is not yet available

• Reduce CapEx and enable quick service rollouts by using existing DSL services instead of laying new infrastructure
